Do you have career purpose?

Do you have career purpose?

It's not all about the money.....

Career purpose refers to the idea that your career should not only be a means of making money but also a way to contribute to society, pursue passions and achieve personal growth. It entails aligning work with your values, interests, and talents while believing that your contribution matters and makes a difference.

Failure to fulfill our career purpose can lead to a lack of fulfillment, satisfaction, and motivation in work, resulting in stress, burnout, and even depression. Poor work-life balance, reduced creativity, lack of engagement, and lower job satisfaction are other possible consequences.

Look inside yourself

Achieving career purpose involves self-reflection, researching different career options, setting goals that align with your purpose, seeking relevant opportunities, and taking action. However, not everyone has a clear career purpose, and that is okay.

If you're feeling unfulfilled in your career, try to reflect on your values, interests, and skills and explore different options that are aligned with them. It is essential to take steps towards aligning work with your purpose, such as seeking out new opportunities, talking to mentors or career coaches, and making changes in your current role if possible.
